Makeup Organization

Hi guys! in this post, i'm going to show you how I organized my makeup and/or store it. I want to start of by saying that none of these products were given to me to be shown in this post or promoted. Also, I am not trying to show off or brag about my makeup collection. I know many people who have more than me, but I am here to show you how I organize my makeup. Now that that's out of the way, let's get started!

Ok, so first I'll show you what my dresser looks like before we start...

So, as you can see, I have a LOT of work ahead of me.

Here's how I began:

STEP 1: Make room for organization

By this, I mean you need to clear your workspace. I took all of my makeup products from drawers, bags, etc, and put them on my bed.

STEP 2: Figure out what you need/ how you want to store your makeup.

I chose to use plastic drawers that can sit on my dresser. I got these from target for around 15 bucks. You do not need some fancy-shmancy doohickey to organize makeup unless that is your preference. I also bought organizers to go in the drawers.

STEP 3: Make this process fun!

I play my music out loud to make this a little more enjoyable!

STEP 4:  Organize!

After inserting the drawer organizers, I started by labeling my drawers just to make things easier.

Next, I started sorting my lip products into the smaller set of drawers that fit on the larger set. I sorted by Lipstick, then high-end lipgloss, then drugstore products.

Now it's time to start with the big drawers!

Gather all of your face products, or whatever category you are putting in the bottom drawer.

Now start sorting these products and put like things together.

Also get a cup, mug, or something to store your face brushes in and put all of them together. I got these cute Zebra cups for Christmas.

Once you finish organizing all of your face products, they will be much easier to access.

(In the face drawer, I put everything that does not go on your eyes, meaning foundation, primer, concealer, blush, highlighters, powder, etc.)

Now it's time to move on to the next drawer, for me, that is the eye drawer! (;

I started by collecting all of my single eyeshadows and placing them together, separating my brand and continuing this for the entire drawer.

I also put any cream eyeshadows, or paint pots together.

Now, you may be asking yourself, "What about my palettes???????????" Well, because I organized my makeup this way, I freed up a drawer in my dresser that I am using especially for palettes.

Also put any eye brushes together in a cup/mug similar to the one with your face brushes.

(This isn't my only brush! I was just starting to put my brushes in and forgot to take an after picture!)

Time for the last drawer! I'm putting mascara( my obsession <3), eyeliner, and eyeshadow sticks in this drawer.

If you have any extra mascara, brushes, etc, store it in the drawer with your palettes!

I put any tools on top next to my lip drawers.

Now my bed looks like this:

And my organization it done!
